Yuri Muniz de Souza has received an an honorable mention in the esteemed José Leite Lopes Prize for his doctoral thesis at IF-UFRJ titled 'Quantum light-matter interactions in low-dimensional materials'. The Optics and Photonics Commission praised Muniz's innovative work, which was supervised by Professor Carlos Farina de Souza (UFRJ) and co-supervised by Professor Wilton Junior de Melo Kort-Kamp (Los Alamos National Laboratory – LANL).
